Piano Accompaniment
Trained as an accompanist at the University of Hull I have performed across the Yorkshire region for various choirs, instrumental and vocal exams, music festivals, recording sessions, recitals, concerts and shows.
Choirs
I am currently the resident accompanist for the Maureen Hunter Singers (pictured above) based in Hull, East Yorkshire. The Maureen Hunter Singers is a choir with over 80 members and they have performed in such distinguished venues as Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Cathedral in Notre-Dame and the Vatican in Rome. Alongside this, the choir have performed in front of HRH Prince Philip, Prince Edward and Her Majesty the Queen.

Instrumental & Vocal Exams
Whether a grade exam, a college exam or an assessed recital, I am available for all your accompaniment requirements. Rehearsals can take place at a venue of your choice or at my private Hull address. Clients must ensure that sheet music / lead sheets are sent to my address with sufficient time before the date of the exam or recital.
Music Festivals
I have performed at music festivals across the Yorkshire region for over 15 years. Festivals are a great way of gaining performance experience. In 1999 I was awarded the Gough & Davy Rosebowl for the most outstanding senior competitor at the Hull City Hall Music Festival and I understand and appreciate just how important these events can be for budding performers.
Recording Sessions & Rehearsals
You may be an up-and-coming artist, or a band requiring a pianist to rehearse or to record with, maybe you are a singer and you've decided to record your own CD for family and friends, or perhaps you are simply looking for inspiration or some assistance with musical matters,whatever your requirements I would be happy to have a chat with you and to discuss your options.
Recitals
An alumni of the Univerisity of Hull, I graduated with a First Class BMus degree in 2007 specialising in Advanced Performance and Accompaniment. Two years later I completed a Masters degree in Music specialising in solo piano performance and performance analysis. I studied the piano with Irena Glushenkova, a former tutor of the Moscow Conservatoire. In addition, I have received specialist piano tuition from some of the country's leading solo artists including Benjamin Frith, Colin Stone, the Cann Twins and Sarah Beth-Briggs. During my time at the University I have accompanied for numerous assessed instrumental and vocal recitals.
Concerts, Shows & Productions
Whether you are putting on an amateur or professional production, preparing a classical or informal concert, or simply putting on a show for friends and family, the piano is a wonderfully versatile instrument and caters for a wide variety of rehearsal and performance requirements. I have experience with the Northern Theatre Company, the Hessle Amateur Dramatic Society and recently with Beverley Musical Theatre along with a host of other amateur productions. I am currently working on a production of the Railway Children for Christmas 2010.
